Sure has been awhile...

Well, quite the month I have had. The begining of this week my Mom and my cousin headed to Vancouver where my Mom would donate her kidney to my cousin, who has been coping with a kidney disease all of her life. The time had finally come that she no longer had any remaining function in her kideny left. This meant it was time for family members to go through the testing process and determine who was able to donate. Well my Mother was the lucky gal!!! The kidney that was taken from my mom and put into my cousing started working immediately and she is already feeling the effects of having a funcitoning kidney. Her color has returned and she just feels better (other then the pain right now) all around. It has been hard on the whole family. The hardest choice was to stay at home and tend to rest of everyones needs while my mom lay in a hosipital bed, along while I continued to attend classes. Where I will be quite honest, I was not paying much attention duirng lectures. So here it is Friday and my mom will be home tonight. I look forward to her being home, but not lookign forward to watch her be in pain and struggling.

Well I should go for now, the next one will be on a happier note I am sure!!!

This is ME!....and Chris

Well I have not always been this wonderful inncocent girl you see before you. Now 22, I am a student at Malaspina University where I am in the Education (teaching) program and finishing up my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. I also work part time as a server at a local restuarant. However this is only one small part of my more then jamm packed life. I have a niece and nephew who keep me very busy. My nieice Jordan is a year old, and my nephew Riley is three. These kids are the center of my world and will always be. Ya Ya, your thinking until she has a couple of her own, but that will not change things to much. They live next door and it is not uncommon to hear AUNTY!!! yelled across the field at me, simply to ask me what I am doing or to ask me to come over.

Recentley my life changed quickly but for the better. I met Chris in a very NOT ME way. Back in March one of my friends (Tracy, who also has a blog) was over for a girls night, both being single at the time Tracy decided that we needed to look on Plenty of Fish.com for guys for me. She had previously been on the web site for herself and thought I needed to join in the fun. So with a bowl of popcorn on our laps we started to work our way through many profiles. Soon we came to a very basic profile, which immediatley lost my attention. But not Tracy's. She was insistent that I message this guy, who left much to be discovered. So quickly she had messaged him. Two days later he had messaged me back and 5 minutes later we were talking on the phone. I know what your thinking, fast mover; normally I am not that girl, but something just kept things moving. So later on in the week we met at the Tim Hortons near my house. The funny part of this is my parents showed up at the Tim Hortons and watched the whole meeting Chris for the first time happen, and I did not even notice them. It was not until I came home and they told me they had been there did I find this out. So this meeting only got the ball rolling. Five months later he moved in with me and here we are nearly 10 months later, together and going strong. Chris is something that I thought I would never find and all of a sudden when I least expected it there he was. I like to say everything happens for a reason but I credit my girl Tracy for part of this so called fate as well.
